The spring is coming. (and Game of Thrones season 8 is coming, too LOL)
Everyone knows that Kyoto has a lot of places with sakura (cherry blossom) which is truly awesome. I believe that no one will doubt that. But usually as you know they are crowded too. Also, there are so many information/guides/blogs/books that teaches you where you should go or you shouldn't go. Too many choices overwhelming you? Or perhaps you only need some quiet places to have a walk and seeing sakura? Don't worry. The only thing you need to do is trust us, read our recommendation, and go. You won't regret it.
春がやってきました。京都には美しい桜スポットが沢山ありますが、有名な場所はどこもとても混んでいます。ガイドブックやネットはたくさんあり、お勧めといわれる場所も沢山ありますが、情報があまりにも多すぎませんか？そこで今回はザ・ミレニアルズ京都スタッフお勧めの桜スポットをご紹介します。

Yodogawa River Park Sewaritei Area・淀川背割堤（MAP)
This area is really a amazing place to see sakura. It is over 2 km continuously planted with 250 lines of Yoshino Sakura trees. It is not only a place to take a walk and flower seeing but also a perfect place for a picnic. Just bring some foods, drinks, grab friends you made at The Millennials Kyoto and enjoy seeing sakura.
このエリアは約2キロの川沿いに約250本もの吉野桜が植えられています。桜並木を歩くだけでもとても美しい景色を楽しめますが、お弁当と飲み物を持って、レジャーシートを広げてお花見を楽しむのもお勧めです。
■Access:Take Keihan line to Yawata City Station and walk about 10 minutes
■アクセス:京阪本線で八幡市駅から徒歩約10分
To-ji・東寺（MAP)
Trust me, you should not miss the world heritage Tou-ji if you want to see sakura in Kyoto. You can visit there in the daytime or in the evening regarding that they are holding a breathtaking light up event during evening. In my opinion I recommend going in the evening.
京都の桜スポットを紹介するなら東寺を外すことは出来ません。この時期は夜の特別ライトアップが実施されています。他では味わう事の出来ない京都の風情と合わさった美しい夜桜は圧巻です。日中に行くのももちろんお勧めですが、お時間が合えば夜の時間帯に是非訪れてみてください！
■Access:Take bus 207甲 from Kawaramachi-shijo Bus Stop to To-ji Higashimonzen Bus Stop
■アクセス:バス207甲で、河原町四条から東寺東門前に降ります
Fushimi Jikkokufune・伏見十石船(MAP)
In here you can have a small boat tour with Jikkokubune Canal Cruise seeing sakura. Or simply have a walk along the river. This place is near the famous Fushimi-Inari the thousand gates and the Gekkeikan Okura Sake Museum. It might be great to have a tour like going to Fushimi-Inari in the morning, taking the boat seeing sakura, then going to Sake Museum. Bring a bottle of sake back to the hotel after your tour will be a good idea, too. The most important thing to note is that comparing to the major sakura spots in Kyoto, this hole in the wall area is rarely crowded.
ここでは、十石船という江戸時代からある小さな船に乗ってクルーズを楽しみながら桜を見ることが出来ます。勿論船に乗らずに川沿いを歩くだけでも綺麗な景色を楽しめます。近くには有名な伏見稲荷やお酒の有名な伏見ならではの記念館があったりと、多くの場所を一度に楽しむことが可能です。午前中の人が少ないうちに伏見稲荷に行き、その後桜を楽しみ、地酒を飲む！これで伏見は完璧です。十石船はお花見のメインスポットではないので、あまり混んでおらずゆっくり桜を見ることが出来るのも魅力のひとつです。
